Description:
NeilMed seeks a Sr. Staff Accountant who has a strong accounting background with 5 - 8 years experience, and a solid understanding of GAAP reporting requirements and excellent Excel skills. He/she will have a broad base of technical experience which not only includes accounting skills. Some management experience is beneficial where the individual has demonstrated the ability to meet a wide variety of rapidly changing challenges.
Responsibilities:
Review A/R deductions and reconcile to approved marketing programs with Retailers/Wholesalers
Approve journal entries prepared by AR Processor for accuracy & correct posting
Prepare monthly financial statement closing
Manage & analyze NeilMeds various coupon programs to determine cost vs. benefit
Prepare Sales/GST/VAT Tax filings for NeilMed and related entities
Review Commission payment analyses for brokers of NeilMed
Prepare monthly account reconciliations of GL Balance Sheet accounts
Prepare in monthly Budget variance analysis
Assist in development of annual Budgets
Assist in the development of accounting and financial polices and procedures to ensure the efficient financial operations of the organization and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and financial standards.
Complete adhoc requests and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Five to eight years of demonstrated accounting experience
Working knowledge of US GAAP and GL
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Experience in a dynamic fast paced environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Professionalism, maturity and organizational skills
Keen ability to focus, anticipate needs, maintain close attention to detail, and prioritize work within a fast-paced environment.
Skilled in preparing general ledgers, financial statements, and financial reports.
Excellent Excel skills with knowledge of pivot tables.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
